A frighteningly fun Halloween evening at the Discovery Museum with tales, animal handling, crafts, disco and games.
Spooky Night at the Museum takes over the Discovery Museum on Friday 30 October, with two separate sessions running at 4:30pm and 7:30pm. It's a Halloween evening built around a few different things going on at once, so you can drift between them rather than sticking to one set programme.
There are tales to listen to and animal handling to get stuck into, alongside crafts and games to keep you occupied. A disco runs throughout, and the whole thing is tied together by a Fright night fancy dress competition for the little and not-so-little ones, so it's worth turning up in your best Halloween gear if you're planning to enter. The organisers describe it as a frighteningly fun evening with no tricks, just treats.

Because there are two sessions, you can pick the one that fits your night best: the 4:30pm slot if you're heading out early with the kids, or the 7:30pm one for a later start. Standard tickets are £10, and the museum is at Blandford Square, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4JA.
