Live hip hop performance by the British duo Pete & Bas at The Grove in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Pete & Bas are playing The Grove on Wednesday 14 October, with doors opening at 7:00pm. It's a hip hop duo fronted by Peter Bowditch and Basil Bellgrave, who formed in 2017 and have since been billed as the 'grandfathers of UK drill' and grime. They hail from South East London and built their following on a raw, witty style and an unexpectedly late entry into rap.
Their debut single was titled 'Shut Ya Mouth', followed by tracks like 'The Old Estate' and 'Dents in a Peugeot'. Their album Mugshot arrived in 2024, and they've collaborated with artists including T-Pain and M24. They've also been co-signed by Jaykae, Mist, D Double E, Dizzee Rascal, Giggs, Headie One and Dave.
