Michael Starring Ben

Michael Starring Ben comes to O2 City Hall on Friday 7 May 2027, with Ben Bowman taking the stage. It's a tribute to Michael Jackson, and Bowman is the one at the centre of it — he's billed as the UK's ultimate Michael Jackson tribute star, and the show is built around him looking and sounding like the King of Pop and performing his iconic dance routines.

It's a full theatre production, not just a singer with a backing track. Bowman is backed by a live band, and the set is dressed with dazzling costumes. The show works its way through the greatest hits of Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5, with 'Beat It', 'Billie Jean', 'Thriller' and 'Man in the Mirror' among the songs on the bill. It's a tribute production, and it's not associated with or endorsed by the Michael Jackson Estate.

The Newcastle date is one stop on a tour running 89 dates across the UK, so it's a good chance to catch it without having to travel far. If you're bringing anyone younger, under-14s have to be accompanied by an adult.

Doors open at 18:30, with the show starting at 19:30 and a curfew of 23:00.
