A three-hour Halloween evening cruise along the River Tyne aboard the boat Canny Lass, featuring live music, drinks and Halloween-themed atmosphere.
Tyne Cruises are running a Halloween evening cruise on Saturday 31 October, with the boat Canny Lass setting off from the Quayside in Newcastle upon Tyne. It's a three-hour trip along the River Tyne, and they've aimed it at families, so it's one of those nights you can bring the kids along to rather than leaving them at home.
On board, there's live music and a bar serving drinks throughout the evening, with Halloween touches spread across the boat. The route takes you along the river while the city lights reflect across the water, so you'll see the Quayside and the bridges from the river instead of the pavement. It's a slower way of seeing the city, and the live music keeps it from feeling like just a boat trip.
It's part of a wider set of Halloween celebrations across Newcastle, when the city transforms into a realm of ghouls, ghosts and goblins. Around the North East, venues are putting on haunted history tours, scare fests, thrilling film screenings and family-friendly events, so if you're in the mood for more than one night of it, there's plenty to pick from across the region.

The cruise runs from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, and a standard ticket is £40. It departs from the Quayside, so you'll want to be there a bit early to get on board before the Canny Lass sets off.
