A live band and cast perform a set of spooky pop hits including Monster Mash, The Time Warp and Thriller, presented with stunning visuals and state-of-the-art production.
Halloween In Concert comes to O2 City Hall on Friday 30 October, a few days before the day itself. It's a live band and cast performing a set of spooky pop hits, and the list they've put together covers a fair bit of ground. You'll get the obvious ones like Monster Mash, Thriller and The Time Warp, but there's more than that: Highway to Hell, Running Up That Hill, Hungry Like the Wolf, Maneater, Bat Out of Hell, It's a Kind of Magic, She Wolf and Dancing in the Moonlight are all on the setlist too.
It's billed as a brand-new concert spectacular, and the producers describe it as resurrecting some of the greatest spooky hits ever recorded, presented with stunning visuals and state-of-the-art production. It comes from the same team behind Step Into Christmas, and they've pitched it as a family-friendly evening. They're inviting audiences to arrive dressed to the nines, with a prize awarded to the best costume, so if you've got a fancy dress outfit you've been waiting for an excuse to wear, this is a good spot for it.
On the night, the band and cast work through the set together, and the mix of songs runs from the campy Monster Mash and The Time Warp through to the heavier Highway to Hell and Bat Out of Hell, with Thriller and Running Up That Hill sitting somewhere in between. It's a broad enough selection that you'll likely recognise most of it, and the family-friendly angle means it's one you can bring the kids along to.
