Soul and pop singer Gabrielle performs her greatest hits on her 'The Hits' tour at the O2 City Hall.
Gabrielle plays O2 City Hall on Saturday 3 April 2027, as part of her The Hits tour. It's a night that does exactly what the tour title suggests: a run through the songs that have kept her on the UK charts for over three decades.
She first made her mark in 1993 with 'Dreams', which set a record for the highest chart debut by a female before climbing to number one. From there, the South London soul singer became known for her shimmery voice and for the eyepatch she wore on stage. In 2000, she returned to the top with 'Rise', built around a Bob Dylan sample of 'Knocking on Heaven's Door' — both the song and its parent album hit number one. Her run of hits also includes 'Give Me a Little More Time', 'If You Ever', 'When a Woman', 'Sunshine' and 'Out of Reach', which she wrote for the Bridget Jones' Diary soundtrack.
Along the way, she's picked up an Ivor Novello for Outstanding Song Collection, two BRIT Awards, and MOBOs for Best Album and Best Single, and made the official UK 100 records of the decade. She's shared stages with Daft Punk, Paul Weller, Al Green and Prince, and Adele has said she used to impersonate her. The Newcastle date is one stop on The Hits tour, so the set will draw from that long list of singles.
