Punk rock band Discharge perform at The Cluny in Newcastle upon Tyne, presented by Eastside Events.
Discharge play The Cluny on Friday 16 October, presented by Eastside Events as part of their End Of Days tour. They're a punk band from Stoke, and this is one of their stops on the run.
If you're not familiar with the name, it helps to know where they started. Their first album opens with a sound-bite sample described as the sound of an enormous door slamming in the depths of hell — a chilling depiction of a nuclear detonation that has long hung over the group's history. It's a stark way to set the scene, and that nuclear dread has remained a constant throughout their career.

The show is at The Cluny, 36 Lime Street, in Ouseburn, so it's right in the heart of the valley. If you're driving in, keep in mind that the venue has no car park, with only limited street parking available nearby, so you'll want to leave yourself a bit of extra time to find a spot. Otherwise, it's an easy walk from the nearby pubs and cafes that make Ouseburn what it is. Discharge are the sole bill on the night, and the date is Friday 16 October.
