A monthly film club screening Nordic cinema at Tower Cinema, held on the first Tuesday of every month.
Pappa Sven's Nordic Film Club is back at Tower Cinema on Tuesday 8 September, the first Tuesday of the month. It's part of a regular series that brings Nordic cinema to Newcastle, with screenings running on the first Tuesday of every month at the cinema on King Street.
The club is run by Pappa Sven, an authentic Nordic design and lifestyle store here in Newcastle. They've put this on to bring the best and most interesting Nordic films to the city, and they describe it as a way for audiences to transport themselves into Nordic life through cinema. If you've never seen much from that part of the world, it's a good place to start.

Because it's a monthly thing, you don't have to commit to a whole season — you can just drop in when a particular film catches your eye. The screenings always land on the first Tuesday of the month, so it's easy to keep track of. The venue is Tower Cinema, 183 King Street, Newcastle NSW 2300, and they welcome people with access needs.
