An evening of art history and friendly competition with MC Matt Sage, featuring a silent auction, food truck, and wine.
Newcastle Art Space is hosting an Art Trivia Night on Saturday 17 October, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. It's a fundraiser for the space, which runs as a not-for-profit independent art venue, so the night does double duty as a bit of competition and a way to keep the place going.
The format is straightforward: you put together a team of up to eight people and take on the other tables. Tickets are sold as singles, half tables, or full tables, so you can either round up a whole crew or just grab a spot and find your feet on the night. Local figure Matt Sage is on MC duties, keeping the rounds moving and the atmosphere light.
There's more to it than just the trivia, though. A silent auction will run throughout the evening, featuring a work by James Drinkwater. The night also marks the launch of the venue's Art stockroom, so there'll be something new to look at alongside the quiz. For food and drink, Tibetan Little Stove will be parked outside as a food truck, with Hunter Valley wine from Mercer Wines and beer from Shout brewery on hand.
