The concert is built around Australian music, with Ceberano combining her own catalogue with fresh versions of songs associated with artists including I’m Talking, the Divinyls, INXS, Skyhooks, Icehouse, Paul Kelly, Midnight Oil, Sia, John Farnham, Renée Geyer and Jimmy Barnes. It follows the release of Australian Made: Live in August 2025 and continues the show’s national run after its 2025 performances. Kathleen Halloran and multi-instrumentalist Dusty Lee were listed as special guests for the tour. Smoke and fog formed part of the production, while photography was restricted to phones without flash.
For Newcastle ticket buyers, the listed price was A$89.90, including booking fee and GST. A separate transaction fee applied: A$2.85 online, A$3.85 in person or A$4.85 by phone. The venue accepted Companion Cards, with special-needs bookings available on (02) 6767 5200. The age conditions stated that children aged five to 16 needed to attend with an adult holding a purchased ticket; toddlers aged four and under, as well as babies in arms or on laps, were not permitted. The venue also advised that tickets were non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Ceberano’s connection to Australian pop stretches back to her work as the lead vocalist of I’m Talking in the 1980s, followed by a solo career covering pop, soul, jazz, musical theatre and film. Her 1989 album Brave produced “Bedroom Eyes”, while later projects included Pash, Tryst with Paul Grabowsky and My Life Is a Symphony with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. She was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2016 for her contribution to the performing arts and charitable organisations. The Australian Made format draws on that long career while placing her songs alongside a wider selection of Australian favourites.
The Newcastle date was one stop in a broader 2026 schedule that also included Anita’s Theatre on 9 October, the Sydney Opera House on 11 October and QPAC’s Concert Hall on 14 November. For local readers who attended the Town Hall show, the appeal was in hearing a familiar national songbook presented through Ceberano’s voice, with her own hits included rather than treated as a separate part of the set.
