The shop has a 4.7 out of 5 rating from 190 reviews on Google Maps. Most reviews praise the friendly and informative staff, the support they give, the recipes they have developed, and the stock of equipment and ingredients. One customer said the prices are similar to other brew shops. Not every experience was smooth, though. One customer received a Pale Ale instead of a Hahn Super Dry pack. Another reported problems with delivery and a lack of email replies, and found that gift vouchers could not be used on a first online order.
Orders can be placed at noblebarons.com.au or by phone and must be received by midnight on Tuesday. Deliveries generally happen on Thursdays and Fridays. Local delivery is A$10 for local areas, and the same charge is listed for orders over A$100 in eligible postcodes. Delivery to the rest of NSW starts at A$15, and interstate delivery to QLD, VIC, TAS and SA starts at A$20. For Raymond Terrace (2324) and nearby Singleton, Muswellbrook, Clarencetown and Stroud, you can order by email at deliver@newcastlebrewshop.com, and delivery is limited to that area. The shop also runs the Barons Brew Club, which is free to join. It mixes an online forum with in-person meet-ups in the Hunter Region, workshops, challenges and competitions. Its Brew-niversity articles include a hydrometer guide published on 15 June 2026, a guide to closed transfers from a pressure fermenter to a keg from 7 February 2026, and an ultimate home brew beer guide from 13 July 2025.
