Yearb4 + Scorched Waves feat. Multi Ultra / Sleep Naked

Yearb4 are playing The East Room on Saturday, October 17, with Scorched Waves featuring Multi Ultra and Sleep Naked on the bill. It's a Nashville indie melodic hard rock band, and the sound they're bringing to the stage draws on classic acts like Soundgarden and Van Halen, finished with a modern touch from Muse and Foo Fighters. If those names ring a bell, you've got a good handle on where they sit.

There's a fair amount of ground covered in that description, and it's because the individual parts of the band pull from different corners of the rock tradition. Vocalist Lucas Blair's voice blends the rawness of Robert Plant with the breathy tenors of Don Henley and Steve Perry. Guitarist Michael Milaitis runs a searing Les Paul tone that brings to mind Slash and Dimebag Darrell, and bassist Abby Chuck is compared to Cliff Burton and Flea. When you put those together, you get a sound that's as much about the heavy riffs as it is about the melodic side of things.

It's a full night of music, with Scorched Waves featuring Multi Ultra and Sleep Naked sharing the bill. The show starts at 8 PM at The East Room, 2412 Gallatin Ave, and tickets start at $13.
