A restored streamlined train excursion with wine tastings, including a layover in Watertown for lunch and shopping.
Tennessee Central Railway Museum is running a wine tasting excursion on Saturday, October 10, a full-day trip that starts and ends in Nashville. The ride is on a restored classic streamlined stainless steel passenger train, the kind of vintage railcar that feels like a throwback to mid-century travel. You board at 9 AM, the train pulls out at 10 AM, and you're back in the city by 5 PM.
The wine tastings are built right into the journey, and your ticket includes a complimentary wine glass to keep with you. The train heads out of Nashville and makes a layover in Watertown, which is where you can step off, stretch your legs, and spend some time in town. There are restaurants and shops around the square, so you can grab lunch and browse the stores before the return leg back to Nashville. It's a slow-paced day—you spend the morning on the train, the middle of the day in a small town, and the afternoon heading home.

There are two ways to ride: coach is $85 and the dome is $160, and both include the wine tastings. The dome gives you a better view of the scenery as you roll through the countryside. Boarding starts at 9 AM at the museum, 220 Willow St., with departure at 10 AM and the return to Nashville at 5 PM.
