Grammy-winning guitarist Warren Haynes performs his 'Dreams & Songs' symphonic experience with the Nashville Symphony, conducted by Rich Daniels.
Warren Haynes is playing two nights at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Thursday, March 11 and Friday, March 12, 2027, both starting at 7:30 PM. He'll be on vocals and guitar, backed by the Nashville Symphony conducted by Rich Daniels. It's a symphonic arrangement of his work, and the two-night run gives you a couple of chances to catch it.
Haynes is a Grammy Award-winning guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and producer. He fronts Gov't Mule and has played in the Allman Brothers Band since 1989, and Rolling Stone ranks him among the greatest guitarists of all time. This particular show, Dreams & Songs Symphonic Experience, grew out of his Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration, which played 30 shows between 2013 and 2016. He first premiered Dreams & Songs - A Symphonic Journey in March 2019 to sold-out shows with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra, and the format returned in 2024 with nine U.S. dates, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, plus a special New Orleans performance in 2026.
Beyond the symphony, he's bringing a core band of musicians to the stage: John Medeski on keyboards, Kevin Scott on bass, Terence Higgins on drums, Greg Osby on saxophone, and Saundra Williams and Mayteana Morales on background vocals. That puts a full rhythm section and a horn player in the mix alongside the orchestra, so it's not just a guitar and strings affair. He also curates the Christmas Jam, an annual charity show in Asheville that celebrated its 33rd edition in 2025.
