Preschoolers can trick-or-treat on the Gallatin Square with the merchants on the Square.
Trick or Treat on the Gallatin Square returns to Downtown Gallatin on Friday, Oct. 30, from 10 AM to 2 PM. It's one of two favorite Sumner County Halloween traditions, the other being the Friends of Bledsoe Creek Annual Trail of Treats, and it's built as a morning alternative to the usual evening rounds. Instead of waiting for dark, preschool-aged children can make their way through the Square and collect treats from the merchants there.
That morning timing is the whole point. It's aimed squarely at the preschool crowdβkids who might be too young for the late-night hustle or who just aren't ready for the dark. Rather than trekking from house to house after sunset, they spend the morning visiting the businesses around the Square, which keeps the whole thing in the daylight hours. It's a good fit for families with little ones who'll be long asleep by the time the real trick-or-treating usually kicks off.

If you're planning to go, the details are straightforward: Friday, Oct. 30, from 10 AM to 2 PM in Downtown Gallatin, with the merchants on the Square handing out the treats. It's a daytime tradition for the preschool set, so you can get the Halloween costume out and the candy bags filled well before the sun goes down.
