A progressive dinner tasting experience through Bar Mar, Zaytinya and Butterfly at W Nashville, curated by the José Andrés Group.
The José Andrés Group is running a progressive dinner called Tour de José at W Nashville, and it's exactly what it sounds like: one meal that moves through three different restaurants in a single evening. Instead of picking one spot, you hit all three in a choreographed sequence.
The night starts at Bar Mar, which they describe as a playful ode to the bounty of the sea. From there, you move to Zaytinya, where the focus shifts to the culinary traditions of Greece, Turkey, and Lebanon served as shared plates. The evening closes at Butterfly, the rooftop cocktail destination overlooking the city. It's a moving feast that takes you from seafood to the Eastern Mediterranean and finally up to the roof.
Behind the whole thing is the José Andrés Group, run by chef and founder José Andrés. The group started as ThinkFoodGroup with co-founder Rob Wilder, and they describe their mission as changing the world through the power of food—they've grown to 40 restaurant concepts across the U.S. and The Bahamas. Andrés himself is an internationally recognized culinary innovator, a New York Times bestselling author, and a humanitarian, twice named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People and awarded Outstanding Chef and Humanitarian of the Year by the James Beard Foundation.
