Country music duo Tigirlily Gold performs at the Grand Ole Opry House as part of the Opry 100 series.
Tigirlily Gold are back at the Grand Ole Opry House on Friday, October 16, as part of the Opry 100 show. It's a familiar stage for them — they've played the Opry nearly 30 times since their debut in 2023, and they're named an Opry NextStage artist, so this is more of a homecoming than a one-off.
If you're not familiar with them, Tigirlily Gold is a country duo made up of Kendra Olson and Krista Slaubaugh. They started out as teenagers in Hazen, North Dakota, and moved to Nashville in 2017. They released their debut album, Blonde, in 2024, which gave them two Top 40 hits: "Shoot Tequila" and "I Tried A Ring On." That record also earned them the ACM Award for New Duo of the Year.
Their sound is built on sister harmonies and a Midwestern point of view brought to modern country music. They've spent the last few years opening for some of the biggest names in the genre — Lainey Wilson, Carly Pearce, Kelsea Ballerini, Cole Swindell, and Scotty McCreery — so they're well-versed in playing for a crowd. This particular appearance is part of the Opry 100, the ongoing celebration of the institution's history.
