The Two Tracks perform live at The Basement in Nashville, with special guests Sweet Megg and Josie Toney.
The Two Tracks play The Basement on Monday, October 12, with Sweet Megg and Josie Toney opening. The band comes from the eastern slope of the Bighorn Mountains in Sheridan, Wyoming—a state they joke has more pronghorn than people.
At the center are husband and wife Dave and Julie Huebner, with Taylor Phillips on bass and Fernando Serna on drums. They build their sound around expressive storytelling, four-part harmonies, and a lively authenticity. Dave brings classical cello training to the mix, which he pairs with bold bluegrass riffs and hooky rock melodies; that combination gives their arrangements a signature character. Julie anchors the sound with rhythm guitar and warm vocals.
They've been recording in Nashville for a while. After their 2016 debut, they released Postcard Town in 2017, produced here by Will Kimbrough. Kimbrough went on to produce three more albums with them, including this year's Seasons Unknown, which has spent nine weeks on the Top 50 Americana Radio Chart. Over the years they've shared bills with Orville Peck, Marshall Tucker Band, Eilen Jewell, and the Shook Twins, and they've played the World Expo in Dubai.
