The Time Jumpers Band

The Time Jumpers Band play 3rd & Lindsley Bar and Grill on Monday, October 12, at 8 PM. They're a Western Swing band based right here in Nashville, and they've built their name on the kind of music that works just as well in a dance hall as it does in a listening room.

They didn't start out as a formal group. The band grew out of casual jam sessions at the Grand Ole Opry, and for a long time they were the station's Monday night destination. For nearly ten years, they've packed weekly performances at the Station Inn, so if you've spent any time in the city's country music circles, you've probably heard of them. They've picked up two awards from the Association of Western Artists, one from the Western Music Association, and two Grammy nominations along the way.

Their recording and performing credits cover a wide stretch of country music history, from Slim Whitman to Carrie Underwood, and the individual members have recorded with artists across genres, from Barbra Streisand to Megadeth. That range shows up in the crowd they draw, too. Fellow recording musicians like Glen Worf, Brent Mason, Reggie Young, and Bob Moore have stopped by their shows, as have stars like Jimmy Dean, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Jimmy Buffett, Reba McEntire, Robert Plant, BJ Thomas, Norah Jones, John Rich, Bonnie Raitt, and Kelly Clarkson. It's a good sense of who they are in the Nashville scene: a band that keeps the Western Swing tradition alive while drawing in people from all over the map.

3rd & Lindsley is home to the Lightning 100 LIVE broadcast and #NashvilleSundayNight, and this is one of their Monday night bills. Tickets are $25.61, and the show starts at 8 PM on Monday, October 12.
