The Smashing Pumpkins perform live on their The Rats In A Cage Tour at The Truth in Nashville.
The Smashing Pumpkins are playing The Truth on Thursday, October 22, as part of The Rats In A Cage Tour. The show starts at 8 PM, and the venue is in the Wedgewood Houston development in Nashville.
This tour is built around two unique sets that pair the songs of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness with other hits and deeper cuts from the band's catalogue. That catalogue runs from 1991's Gish through 1995's Mellon Collie, 1998's Adore and 2000's Machina / The Machines of God. Mellon Collie is the diamond-certified one, and Gish and Siamese Dream are among their best-known records, two of which Rolling Stone has honored.
Formed in Chicago in 1988, the band has sold more than 30 million albums and won two GRAMMYs. Frontman Billy Corgan also hosts the band's podcast, The Magnificent Others. The setlist for this tour draws from that history, with Mellon Collie as the anchor and songs from the other records filling in around it.
