Weekly open jam session at Rosie's Twin Kegs with a featured artist and open jam led by Shawn Spencer.
The Ring Around is a weekly open jam that runs every Sunday night at Rosie's Twin Kegs, a South Nashville bar in the Berry Hill area. It's one of those things that's always there if you're looking for it, and it's open to anyone who wants to play.
The evening starts with drink specials and a featured artist at 9 PM, and from there it opens up into a jam led by Shawn Spencer. The jam is open to all styles, so it's not tied to any one genreβit's as much about who shows up as it is about what they play. If you're a musician, you can jump in; if you're not, you can just hang out and listen.
The venue itself has a bit of local history to it. The original Twin Kegs is under new ownership now, but it still serves burgers and beer to Nashville all day and night, and the Sunday jam is part of that ongoing tradition. It's a neighborhood spot in the South Nashville/Berry Hill area, the kind of place that feels like it belongs to the people who live around it.
