The Red Clay Strays perform live at Bridgestone Arena with special guests Sierra Ferrell and Brent Cobb.
The Red Clay Strays play the Bridgestone Arena on Thursday, October 22, with Sierra Ferrell and Brent Cobb opening. It's a big night for a band that's climbed fast over the last few years.
They formed in Mobile, Alabama, back in 2016 around Brandon Coleman on lead vocals, guitar, and keys. The rest of the lineup rounds out with Drew Nix on electric guitar, vocals, and harmonica; Zach Rishel on electric guitar; Andrew Bishop on bass; John Hall on drums; and Sevans Henderson on keys. Their debut album, Moment of Truth, came out in 2022 and gave them their first real breakout with "Wondering Why," which hit the top 10 of Billboard's Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and the top 20 of the Hot Country Songs charts.
Now signed to RCA Records, they've since put out a second album, Made by These Moments, which dropped in July 2024. That one was produced by Grammy winner Dave Cobb and debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. The run has brought a fair amount of recognition: they took home Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2024 Americana Honors & Awards, the 2025 ACM Award for New Duo or Group of the Year, and back-to-back CMA nominations for Vocal Group of the Year. With Ferrell and Cobb on the bill, the night starts well before the headliner takes the stage.
