The Milk Carton Kids bring their acclaimed blend of contemporary folk and acoustic artistry to the historic Ryman Auditorium.
The Milk Carton Kids play the Ryman Auditorium on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 7:30 PM. The duo consists of Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan, and they've built their following on a blend of contemporary folk, acoustic artistry and rich vocal harmonies. They're three-time Grammy nominees, and the two things that usually come up when people talk about their sound are the quiet intensity of their arrangements and the precision of their singing.
Their most recent album, I Only See the Moon, grew out of a three-week recording session in the fall of 2021. That session stretched into a months-long project recorded in their own Los Angeles studio, and it yielded ten new songs. It was also the first time Pattengale produced the duo himself. The show sits in the folk and Americana tradition, and they're often compared to Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Nickel Creek, The Avett Brothers, Iron & Wine, Watchhouse and José González.

If those names ring a bell, you've got a good sense of where they fit. It's the kind of music that doesn't need a full band to fill the room—just two voices and acoustic instruments. The Ryman date is part of their fall tour, and the set will draw from that same folk and Americana lineage. Tickets are available through the venue and Live Nation; the show starts at 7:30 PM.
