The Mavericks bring their blend of country, Tex-Mex, rockabilly and Latin-infused Americana to the historic Ryman Auditorium.
The Mavericks are playing two nights at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5, 2026. Both shows start at 8:00 PM.
If you've followed them for a while, you know they've always been hard to pin down. They formed in Miami in 1989 and built their sound by crossing country, Tex-Mex, rockabilly, and Latin-infused Americana. That mix has carried them through four distinct phases: a run of success in the 1990s, a hiatus that started in 2003, a 2012 reunion that took them to their 30th anniversary, and the current chapter.
That latest phase centers on En Español, their first all-Spanish album, released on their own Mono Mundo label. The twelve tracks run from boleros and mariachi to reimagined Afro-Cuban classics, so the Spanish influence that's always been there is now front and center. It's a different direction from the country-leaning material they're known for, and it's what they're touring now.
