Orchestra Noir brings The Culture 2000 Tour II to Nashville, reimagining the biggest hip-hop and R&B hits of the 2000s with a live orchestra.
Orchestra Noir brings The Culture 2000 Tour II to Jackson Hall on Friday, October 30, at 8 PM. It's a brand-new production that takes the biggest hip-hop and R&B hits of the 2000s and reimagines them with a live orchestra.
That's the core of it: the songs you remember from the radio and the club, played by a full orchestra. The set is built around fresh orchestral arrangements and brand-new music, so you're hearing these tracks from a different angle than the original recordings. The material pulls from a few different places—club anthems, radio favorites, slow jams, and Southern classics—so the night moves between the dancefloor and the slower side of the era.
Orchestra Noir has been featured in Essence Magazine for this work. The show is open to all ages, though they recommend it for 18 and over. It's a licensed event, not directly affiliated with the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
