Concert by Nashville artist Penny Lame, with Tower Brothers, at the Eastside Bowl as part of The '58 series.
Penny Lame plays Eastside Bowl on Thursday, October 22, as part of The '58 series. She's a Nashville artist whose sound pulls from alternative, alternative indie, and pop rock, and she'll be sharing the bill with Tower Brothers.
Lame describes herself as "a voice for the generation," and the background she brings to it is a good one: she grew up on soul and rock n roll in an unconventional household, and she discovered her powerhouse vocals and her songwriting early on. That soul and rock n roll foundation is still there, even as she works across those alternative and pop rock styles. If you've caught her before, you know the voice is the center of the thing; if you haven't, this is a good place to start.
The show is part of The '58 series at Eastside Bowl, so it's one of a run of dates rather than a one-off. Tower Brothers open the night, and the whole evening is for ages 18 and over.
