Concert featuring the Brooklyn-based indie disco band Supertaste and Nashville songwriter Preston Lydotes at The Blue Room.
Supertaste are playing The Blue Room at Third Man Records on Friday, October 16, with Nashville's own Preston Lydotes opening. It's a Third Man Events night at the venue on 7th Avenue South, and it's open to all ages with standing room only.
Supertaste are a Brooklyn-based indie disco band. They describe their sound as groove-forward, blending shimmering disco textures, funk guitar, and distorted, soulful vocals into something they see as both nostalgic and unmistakably modern. If that sounds like a lot of adjectives, it's basically a dance floor record that doesn't shy away from a bit of grit on the vocals.
Preston Lydotes is a Nashville songwriter known for his vivid storytelling and for the emotional depth of his latest EP, Stranger At Best. He brings a self-made ethos to the stage, and since he's local, this is a home-town set for him. He's the one kicking things off, so you'll get a full songwriter set before the disco takes over.

As for the timing, Lydotes starts at 8 PM and Supertaste follows at 9 PM. The whole thing runs from 8 PM to 11 PM, and since it's standing room only, you'll want to get there early if you're hoping for a spot close to the front. The Blue Room is Third Man Records' intimate venue on 7th Avenue South, so it's a small room for two acts in one night.
