Sonia Leigh

Sonia Leigh plays Girlcrush Social House on Sunday, October 11, at 3 PM. It's a solo bill, with Leigh as the only act on the lineup.

Leigh is a Nashville-based artist and BMG songwriter who works across a few different styles. She describes her sound as a blend of country, rock, pop, and hip-hop, held together by storytelling. Born in Lakeland, Florida, she got her start in the Atlanta music scene and first broke through with her major label debut, 1978 December. Since then, she's written number-one hits for Zac Brown Band, and her songs have appeared in several television shows, films, and video games.

Her 2025 record, Songs About Ghosts, is rooted in Americana and rock with Motown flavors. If you've followed her work, that's the record she's most likely to be drawing from these days, though the set will probably pull from her wider catalog too. Between the songwriting she does for other artists and her own recordings, there's a fair amount of material to choose from.

It's a Sunday afternoon show, so you can catch it and still have your whole evening ahead of you. Admission is free, and it starts at 3 PM at Girlcrush Social House.
