A high-energy adult comedy and cirque show featuring aerialists, strongmen, and interactive humor, with moonshine cocktails served.
Shiners is playing at the Woolworth Theatre on Friday, October 9, at 7:30 PM. It's billed as Nashville's only cirque-style comedy show, and it runs about an hour and a half. The whole thing is built around the Shiner family, an eclectic clan of moonshiners who've gathered for a family reunion, and the story is told through high-flying aerialists, gravity-defying strong men, and adult comedy that leans on crowd interaction. Reviewers have called it unexpected, funny, and full of unique talent, with performers who integrate well with the audience. The production is also noted for its world-class audio-visual effects and for serving moonshine cocktails. It's strictly for adults, 18 and over.
If you're not familiar with the venue, the Woolworth Theatre is at 223 Rep. John Lewis Way N. in downtown Nashville. Tickets are $105 per adult, and the show starts at 7:30 PM.
