Multi-Grammy winner Reese Wynans celebrates his career with friends and special guests at the historic 3rd and Lindsley venue.
Reese Wynans plays 3rd and Lindsley on Wednesday, October 15, with a full band and a rotating cast of guests. He's a multi-Grammy winner and a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, and he's coming back to a room he helped build. He moved to Nashville in 1992 and was a big part of the city's early music scene at 3rd and Lindsley, which he helped found in 1991. This show is part of the venue's 35th Anniversary Series.
Wynans is best known as a member of Stevie Ray Vaughan's band Double Trouble in the 1980s, where he played organ and keyboards. Since then, he's toured and recorded with a long list of names: Dickey Betts, Boz Scaggs, Carole King, Joe Bonamassa, Buddy Guy, Lee Roy Parnell, Brooks and Dunn, and Trisha Yearwood. He's spent decades as one of the city's most sought-after session players, and this is a night where he takes the lead.
The lineup for the evening is a gathering of friends. He'll be joined by Kenny Greenberg, Alison Prestwood, Lynn Williams, and Kevin McKendree, with special guests Jimmy Hall, Jonell Mosser, and Jackie Wilson. It's a big band, and the set will draw from the record he released in 2025, Reese Wynans and Friends Sweet Release.
