A musical bingo night where music lovers test their R&B knowledge across generations, with prizes for winners.
Every Other Weekend brings R&B Bingo: Battle of Generations to the National Museum of African American Music on Saturday, October 24. It's a musical bingo night that pits music lovers head-to-head across generations in a friendly test of R&B knowledge, playing artists from different eras against one another.
That's the core of the night: the eras. The music spans decades, and the songs are played against each other, from Teddy Pendergrass and Peabo Bryson to Brent Faiyaz and Donell Jones. If you've spent years digging through old records and keeping up with new releases, this is where that pays off. You'll be listening for the hits you know by heart and the ones you might only recognize once they start playing.
Every winner walks away with a reward, and a special grand prize awaits the ultimate champion. The night is presented by the National Museum of African American Music, which bills it as part of the wider R&B Bingo series. If you're a fan of the genre, it's a good excuse to get together with friends and see who actually knows their R&B.
