Puppet Show: A Very Magical Halloween Storytime

Wishing Chair Productions is bringing A Very Magical Halloween Storytime to the Main Nashville Library starting Friday, October 9. It's a puppet show for families, held in the library's second-floor Children's Theater at the downtown branch on Church Street.

The show is led by Library Pete, Dr. Ev, and Mr. B, who sing, juggle, and read a selection of not-so-scary stories. It's a mix of reading and performance, and the troupe encourages kids to come in costume. Along with the stories, there's a live magic act full of mystery, laughter, and surprises. Wishing Chair's puppet shows are a regular part of the library's children's programming, so if you've been to their other storytimes, you'll recognize the format.

If Friday doesn't work, there are plenty of other times to catch it. The first performance is Friday, October 9, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM. After that, they're back on Saturday, October 10, and then again on Friday, October 16, and Saturday, October 17. On those later dates, there are two showtimes: 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM. That's four different days to choose from, with a couple of options on the weekends.

It's a free event, so you don't have to worry about tickets or a cover. You'll find it at the Main Nashville Library's 2nd-floor Children's Theater, inside the downtown Nashville Public Library branch at 615 Church St. The first show runs from 10:30 to 11:00 AM on Friday, October 9.
