A high-energy, pom-inspired dance fitness class for adults of all experience and fitness levels, mixing conditioning, choreography and a supportive environment.
Pom 615 holds an adult beginner pom class every Saturday morning at Millennium Dance Complex, with the next session on Saturday, October 17. It runs for 60 minutes, starting at 10 AM, and is built for adults of all experience and fitness levels. If you've never stepped foot in a dance studio, this is exactly where you start.
The hour is high-energy and pom-inspired, mixing conditioning and choreography in a supportive environment. It's not about being a pro; it's about getting moving and learning the basics of pom dance. Because it's aimed at all levels, you'll find people there who are just as new to this as you are, so there's no need to feel out of your depth.
That's part of the draw of the venue, too. Millennium Dance Complex is known as a premiere studio in the commercial dance world—often called 'the place where it all happens'—and it draws an A-list clientele and a faculty of some of the most sought-after dancers and choreographers in the world. It caters to everyone from absolute beginners to experts, so a beginner class fits right in alongside the high-level work happening around it.

There are a couple of practical things to keep in mind before you head over. Athletic shoes are required, and you'll need to bring your own poms, as the studio is fully pomptional. If you sign up and then can't make it, cancellations have to be made at least 12 hours in advance. The class is $20 and runs every Saturday at 10 AM at 2844 Logan Street in Nashville.
