Acoustic afternoon show with country music traditionalist Nathan Belt and Matheus Canteri at Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk.
Nathan Belt is playing an acoustic afternoon set at Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk on Monday, October 12, with Matheus Canteri joining him. It's a midday show, starting at 11 AM, so you can catch it and still have the rest of your Monday.
If you've never seen Belt around town, he's a country traditionalist and a Texas native who cut his teeth on the North Texas Opry circuit before moving to Tennessee. He signed his first major publishing deal with Acuff-Rose Publishing back in 2001 and has been a fixture of the Nashville scene since the early 2000s. In 2013 he founded the band Nathan Belt & the Buckles, and since 2021 he's been a featured performer and host on Nashville's General Jackson Showboat. He's also a regular at some of the city's most well-known spots: Robert's Western World, The Nashville Palace, Acme Feed & Seed, Chief's on Broadway and Music City Bar & Grill.
On the music side, he recently collaborated with songwriter and producer Bryan Simpson on the EP A Song In The Making. The debut single, "Clean Livin' Is Killin' Me," was co-written and produced by Simpson, and the third single, "I Had My Heart On Something Else," was penned by Simpson, Ashley Gorley and Wade Kirby. New self-penned music is to follow that.
