Concert by singer-songwriter Mick Fury, known for the score of the film Panama, at The Lost Paddy Irish Pub and Restaurant.
Mick Fury plays The Lost Paddy Irish Pub and Restaurant on Tuesday, October 13, starting at 7 PM. If you've never heard of him, Fury is a Nashville singer, songwriter, and composer who's spent a good part of his career working across film and live stages. He's probably best known for writing the 90-minute score and the songs for the $10 million theatrical film PANAMA, starring Mel Gibson and Cole Hauser.
He's shared the stage with Stone Temple Pilots, Vertical Horizon, and the Brothers Osborne, and he's built his live reputation on pairing intimate storytelling with a big personality. That storytelling side goes back to the start: he moved from Upstate New York to Hollywood and played open mics six nights a week. He later returned to Syracuse, where his rock band Silent Fury took off and landed the song "Exit Wounds" in the film Underworld with Kate Beckinsale, opening for the Spin Doctors, Bret Michaels, and Bush.
After moving to Nashville and opening for Travis Tritt and Craig Campbell, he shifted to touring solo. He's played the Key West Songwriter Fest, Americana Fest, and the St. Augustine Songwriter Festival, where his Irish drinking songs became a smash hit. That particular thread has led him back to the source lately: he recently traveled to Ireland, where he's working on a ten-song Irish album.
