Country music artist Megan Moroney headlines the 18th annual Opry Goes Pink event, a breast cancer awareness fundraiser at the Grand Ole Opry House.
Megan Moroney headlines the Grand Ole Opry House on Tuesday, October 27, for the 18th annual Opry Goes Pink. It's a Nashville tradition that happens every October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, bringing country artists and fans together to raise money and awareness for the breast cancer community. The night's signature moment comes when the Opry's barn backdrop is lit pink—a switch flipped by the headlining artist—and $5 from every ticket sold is donated to Susan G. Komen.
Moroney isn't the only one on the bill. She'll be joined by Opry members Mandy Barnett, Deana Carter, and Mackenzie Carpenter, among others. The partnership with Susan G. Komen has turned the fundraiser into a fixture of the city's October calendar, and previous editions have featured Carrie Underwood, Carly Pearce, Trisha Yearwood, Ashley McBryde, and Amy Grant taking part in the ceremonial lighting. This year marks the 18th running of the event.
