Kate Stephenson is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Lake Forest in Northern Illinois. A film-school dropout, she's been writing honest, charismatically entertaining depictions of lived experience since she could talk—songs drawn from bedrooms, dorm rooms, and even a broken-down car. Her music spans indie pop, rock, folk, and folk pop, so the set should pull from a few different directions rather than sticking to one sound.
