A leisure day with lawn games, Adirondack chairs and live music at Walk of Fame Park.
Legends & Leisure runs from Friday, October 9, through Monday, October 12, at Walk of Fame Park in SoBro. It's a few days of low-key outdoor hanging: lawn games, Adirondack chairs, and live music. The Nashville Downtown Partnership puts it together with Metro Parks Nashville, and the whole thing is free and open to the public.
If you've never spent much time there, the park sits on the lawn of the Hilton Nashville Downtown, right across the street from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. It's home to the Music City Walk of Fame, where granite stars are set into the ground to honor legendary figures from the music industry. The Gateway Commons parking garage is directly underneath, which makes it an easy spot to get to if you're driving in from outside downtown.
The setup is simple: the organizers set out the Adirondack chairs and put out the lawn games, weather permitting, so you can just drift in and out. With the live music on top of that, it's more of a place to linger than a scheduled event you have to time perfectly. You can grab a chair, play a round of something, and listen to the music without needing a ticket or a reservation.
