R&B and neo-soul artist L'Rain performs with support from the duo April + VISTA at the intimate venue The Blue Room.
L'Rain plays The Blue Room at Third Man Records on Thursday, November 19, with April + VISTA opening. The show is presented by Third Man Events.
April + VISTA is the project of Virginia singer and composer April George and Maryland composer and producer Matthew Thompson. The duo got their first major break with 2018's You Are Here, a COLORS session that drew praise from BBC Radio 1Xtra and The FADER and landed them a direct-support slot on Little Simz's tours for the Mercury Prize-nominated GREY Area.
The Blue Room sits inside Third Man Records' Wedgewood-Houston headquarters, an intimate, cornerless blue space that historically opened only for live performances, film screenings, poetry readings and art shows. These days it's open to the public every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening with craft cocktails, neighborhood brew and a vintage dip 'n dunk photobooth. Its regular program runs from live music and trivia to dance parties, guest DJs, art exhibitions and 16mm film screenings, and the room pairs live shows with the label's record collection.
