Bluegrass and country concert by the Kristy Cox Band at The Station Inn in Nashville.
Kristy Cox Band plays The Station Inn on Wednesday, December 23, starting at 7 PM. It's a bluegrass and country set from an artist who's spent a good deal of her career working across the other side of the world.
Kristy Cox is signed to Billy Blue Records, and she's been putting out records for a while now. Her most recent, Shades of Blue, came out in February 2022, and it followed No Headlights and Ricochet. If you're coming from the bluegrass side of things, you might recognize her name from the Australian CMA Awards—the Golden Guitar Awards—where she's won Bluegrass Recording of the Year five times. Her most recent one was in 2021 for "Finger Picking Good," a track she recorded with guitarist Tommy Emmanuel.
Beyond the awards, she's been a regular on the IBMA shortlists for the past five years, nominated for Emerging Artist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year, and she was a 2019 IBMA Momentum Awards finalist for Vocalist of the Year. She's opened for major acts and has played television and festivals across Australia, Europe, and the US, so this is one of those shows where the artist is coming into the room with a lot of miles behind her.
