Songwriter night featuring Kimberly Kelly, Jenn Schott, Heather Morgan, and Rachel Thibodeau at The Listening Room Cafe.
Kimberly Kelly, Jenn Schott, Heather Morgan, and Rachel Thibodeau share the stage at The Listening Room Cafe on Wednesday, October 14, for a songwriter night. It's a four-person lineup, so you'll get a good mix of voices and writing styles in one sitting rather than just one act.
If you're not familiar with the room, The Listening Room Cafe has a bit of a history. It was started in 2006 in Franklin, Tennessee, by singer-songwriter Chris Blair, who opened it because he couldn't find a venue that gave Nashville artists the sound and atmosphere they deserved. The Franklin room became a local favorite, drawing in Music Row songwriters who called it "the Bluebird Cafe outside of Nashville."
Blair moved it closer to downtown Music Row, opening inside the historic Cummins Station building in September 2008, where it built its reputation and attracted the city's biggest songwriters and artists. After four years there, he closed in August 2012 to build out the current location, which celebrated its grand re-opening on February 9, 2013, and has since grown into a downtown "Sobro" Nashville hot spot. It's a room built for listening, which fits a songwriter night like this one.
