Journey performs live at Bridgestone Arena as part of their Final Frontier Tour, co-headlining with Def Leppard.
Journey are playing Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, October 21, as part of their Final Frontier Tour. It's a single-bill night, so they're the only act on the program.
If you're coming to them through the hits, there's plenty to work with. Formed in 1973, the band has put out 19 top 40 singles and 25 gold and platinum albums, with more than 100 million records sold worldwide. Their Greatest Hits is certified 15 times platinum, and "Don't Stop Believin'" has passed one billion streams globally. They've picked up a few markers along the way, too: induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a place in the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame. A co-headlining tour with Def Leppard ranked among the year's top global tours and earned them Billboard's "Legends Of Live" award.
There's also a story behind the current lineup. The documentary Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey follows how founder Neal Schon discovered lead vocalist Arnel Pineda through YouTube, which led to the band's resurgence. That's the version of the band that'll be on stage here.
