Country and country-pop artist Jesse Dozzi performs live at the Assembly Food Hall in Nashville.
Jesse Dozzi plays Assembly Food Hall on Tuesday, October 13, starting at 6 PM. She's a Nashville-based country and country-pop artist, and this is a solo bill.
If you haven't come across her yet, there's a bit of a story to how she ended up here. Dozzi grew up in Australia in a musical family and moved to Nashville in early 2016 as part of the sister trio Dozzi. She's spent the decade since then working within the city's creative community, playing live shows, writing hundreds of songs, and picking up music production skills before stepping out as a solo artist. It's the kind of long-game approach that usually means a singer knows exactly what they want to do by the time they start releasing under their own name.
That solo work is already taking shape. Her debut single, Thought It'd Be Different (Unplugged), which she wrote with her brother Jordan Dozzi, came out on Friday, January 19. It's the first glimpse of her working on her own, and it's a good place to start if you want to hear where she's heading before the show.
