Country music singer Jamey Johnson performs live at the Grand Ole Opry House as part of the Opry 100 series.
Jamey Johnson plays the Grand Ole Opry House on Tuesday, October 13, at 7 PM. It's part of the Opry 100 series, a run of evenings that also includes his appearances on September 18, November 9, and December 20. This one is a headlining spot, with Johnson as the main feature.
Much of the set comes from Midnight Gasoline, his first new solo studio album in 14 years. It's the first of his Cash Cabin Series, recorded at the Cash Cabin studio once owned by Johnny and June Carter Cash and now run by their son, John Carter Cash. That long gap since his last solo record puts the new material in a particular light, and it follows That Lonesome Song, which went platinum, and The Guitar Song, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Album Chart and made Rolling Stone and Spin's all-genre best albums of the year. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of his major-label debut, The Dollar.
Johnson is an award-winning singer and songwriter from Montgomery, Alabama, who's spent nearly two decades bridging traditional country with the sound of today. He became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2022, so this is home turf for him. The show is part of the Opry 100, which also features Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, and others throughout the series.
