Country music concert by Jake Worthington at the Grand Ole Opry House, with special guests Ashley McBryde and Dustin Nickerson.
Jake Worthington plays the Grand Ole Opry House on Tuesday, November 10, with Ashley McBryde and Dustin Nickerson joining him on the bill. It's a full evening of country, and Worthington is the one leading the charge.
Worthington is a La Porte, Texas native, and he describes himself as a Big Loud Texas traditionalist. He talks about country music running in his DNA, shaped by his grandfather's porch performances of Ray Price, Merle Haggard, and George Jones. He picked up a Gibson acoustic to find the range of his wide, wild voice, and he's built his sound around honky-tonk stylings and two-step anthems that he brings to venues across the country.
He's put out a 13-song, self-penned debut album, Jake Worthington, and a collaboration with Miranda Lambert called "Hello Shitty Day." He's spent plenty of time on the road, opening for Lambert, Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, Riley Green, Pat Green, Hank Williams Jr., and ERNEST. He's also become a sought-after duet partner: he appeared on Brooks and Dunn's Reboot II with "I'll Never Forgive My Heart," on Reba McEntire's HIXTAPE: Vol. 3: DIFFTAPE with "Is It Cold In Here," and on ERNEST's 2023 extension FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM): Two Dozen Roses with "Heartache In My 100 Proof."
