Jack White + Maya C. Popa: Poems and Conversation

Jack White and poet Maya C. Popa are taking over The Blue Room at Third Man Records on Thursday, October 15, for an evening of poetry and conversation. The night is presented by the Southern Festival of Books and Third Man Books, and it's set up as a double bill: both authors will give their own readings, followed by a session where they talk together, and a book signing to close it out. It's a long night, starting at 7 PM and running late.

If you're going, there are a few things to know about how the ticket works. Your admission includes a copy of White's hardcover Jack White Collected Lyrics and Selected Writing, which is the only thing he'll be signing that night—no memorabilia or records. A portion of the ticket also goes as a donation to the Southern Festival of Books. Maya C. Popa will have her own books available to buy and sign as well, so you can walk away with work from both authors.

Between the two readings and the conversation, the evening moves from the page to a live dialogue, and the signing puts you in the room with both of them.
