An immersive, Practical Magic-inspired pop-up at Hidden Bar featuring witchy decor, themed cocktails and fall snacks in a speakeasy setting.
Hidden Bar is leaning into the spooky season with Impractical Magic, a Practical Magic-inspired pop-up running from Wednesday, September 2, through Saturday, October 31. The bar is tucked behind a storage door inside the Owens family home at the Noelle, 200 4th Avenue North, and for these two months, the room is transformed into a candlelit space with witchy touches and bubbling potions. The theme carries through to the drinks, which they describe as love spells and witching hours unfolding through whispered incantations and curious concoctions.
The menu is built around the theme, with cocktails like the Midnight Margarita, Fly By Night, Night Shade, and Aunt Frances Tea. There's also the zero-proof Moonflower for when you want the vibe without the alcohol, and a selection of fall-themed snacks to go with them. It's a 21-and-over spot, so you'll need your ID to get in.
One thing to keep in mind is the wait. Hidden Bar is one of the city's more popular speakeasies, and the only way to bypass the line is to dine at Lona and collect a skip-the-line pass. If you're planning a night of it, that's the move.
