Holiday Watercolor Wall Art

Holiday Watercolor Wall Art is a painting workshop at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens & Estate on Saturday, December 19, starting at 10 AM. It's held in the Frist Learning Center Studios, and the goal is to paint a festive scene in watercolors.

What makes this one a bit different from a casual painting class is that you don't just walk away with a loose sheet of paper. The workshop is designed so you leave with frame-ready, matted artwork. That means the piece is already mounted on a mat, so it's ready to go straight into a frame rather than sitting in a folder. If you're looking for something to hang on your own walls for the holidays, that's the part that really counts.

Since it's a workshop, you'll be working through the process of building a festive scene in watercolors, and the matted finish means you're thinking about the final presentation from the start. It's a morning session, so you're in and out before the afternoon hits, and you walk away with a finished piece of art rather than just a sketch or a half-finished project.

Tickets are $60 for the general public and $48 for members. It runs on Saturday, December 19, at 10 AM at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens & Estate in Nashville.
