A participatory music-making family jam session for children aged five and under, led by museum educators and a guest music therapist.
Fam Jam is back at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum this Saturday, October 10, from 9:30 to 10:15 AM. It's a participatory music-making session held in the Taylor Swift Education Center, and it's designed specifically for families with children aged five and under.
The whole thing is about getting the little ones involved rather than just watching. The session introduces young children to country music instruments and encourages them to develop through moving, singing, and listening. It's a drop-in activity, so you don't need to worry about arriving at a precise second—you just show up and jump in. The museum's educators lead the session and pair it with a guest artist who brings their own professional background to the room, which means the energy changes a bit from one month to the next.
This particular session is led by Museum educators and guest artist and music therapist Jess Knoble. Fam Jam runs on the second Saturday of each month, so if you miss this one, there's another coming up soon. It's held inside the Taylor Swift Education Center at 222 Rep. John Lewis Way S, Nashville, TN 37203, which is within the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
