A guided bird hike for ages 15 and up at Shelby Bottoms Nature Center; registration required and binoculars available to borrow.
The Shelby Bottoms Nature Center is hosting an Early Morning Bird Hike on Saturday, October 10, from 7:30 to 9:30 AM. It's a guided walk through the park, and it's open to all experience levels, so you don't need to be a seasoned birder to join in. The hike is for ages 15 and up.
If you don't have your own binoculars, don't let that stop youโthe center has pairs available to borrow. The hike is free, but you do need to register in advance by calling or emailing the Nature Center. Once you're signed up, they'll let you know the exact meeting location, which changes from month to month.

It's set up as a place to learn about the area's natural and urban landscape, the local flora and fauna, the region's cultural history, and the way nature works in all that. The hike is just one of the things they do there.
